1. The short version
This website does not collect, store or process any personal data about you. There is no sign-up form, no account, no newsletter and no contact form. We do not ask for your name, email address, postcode or any other detail — and we do not want them.
2. The "I have signed" tick
If you choose to tick "I have signed the Parliament petition", the site records one anonymous number: the total count of ticks. No name, email, IP log or identifying detail is attached to a tick, and nobody — including the campaign — can tell who ticked. Your browser also stores a small marker on your own device (local storage) so you cannot tick twice by accident and can remove your tick if you made a mistake. That marker never leaves your device.
3. Cookies and tracking
This site uses no tracking cookies, no advertising and no analytics that identify you. The only browser storage used is the tick marker described above, which exists solely to make the tick feature work.
4. The Parliament petition
When you follow the link to sign the official petition, you leave this site and deal directly with the UK Parliament petitions service (petition.parliament.uk). Anything you enter there is governed by Parliament's own privacy policy, not this one. We never see what you submit to Parliament.
5. Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or erase on our side. If you believe your data has been mishandled in connection with this site, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
